Restoration of test boards, probe cards and burn-in boards. After many test insertions contacts on test boards become damaged after repeated pin impact forces. This will wear through the gold and nickle contacts to the base copper, new lead and SAC plating will migrate into the gold causing high Cres.
NuSignal will remove contaminated plating and re-plate the nickle and gold layers to equal or better spec than original. This process can increase the board life up to 2 times and can be repeated. With test boards costing $10k and more this is a proven cost effective way to increase board life.
The process can be applied without stripping down the board, only local components have to be removed.
